SpiritScape is an Augmented Reality entertainment application for the iPhone/iPad. The users enter an audio-visual environment based on the real world, made visible through the device’s camera.

They are placed at the center of a fully three-dimensional virtual reality, inhabited by ‘Spirits’. The main aim of the interaction is the exploration and discovery of the mechanics of this parallel reality and its inhabitants.

The player is encouraged to use sound to guide them, as SpiritScape features a fully three dimensional sound engine, which helps to reveal a spirit's position based upon where the user is looking.

I developed SpiritScape with my good friend Daniele De Matteis in Objective-C using the iPhone SDK, including OpenGLES and OpenAL.
